Cadets (Ages 12-14)
This program helps teenagers prepare for the challenges and opportunities they’ll meet as they grow into young adults.
As well as providing a comprehensive self-defence and fitness program, we help teenagers build a range of emotional skills. This can include dealing with the pressures of social media, the importance of acting responsibly and help finding their identity within a group.
At Shotokan Karate Schools we help teenagers develop a healthy lifestyle focused on fitness, good nutrition and a positive attitude to help them grow into happy and healthy adults.
Many of our cadets have gone on to enjoy leadership opportunities at Shotokan Karate Schools, becoming role models for our younger students and learning how to lead lessons.
Many of our cadets have gone on to enjoy leadership opportunities at Shotokan Karate Schools, becoming role models for our younger students and learning how to lead lessons. Our Cadets also use their Martial Arts training as part of their physical activity log for Duke of Edinburgh Award scheme.
